Creating figuative clay images allows me to connect past experences in my life with the present and possibilities for the future. My inspirations comes not only from my small town upbringing, but from having grown up in a family of strong women who allowed their softer sides to shine through, especially via strong bonds with other women and with nature. The inner strength and endurance of women is an ongoing inspiration in my art.

Creating figures of women that convey personality and purpose brings me enjoyment and satisfaction that I would like to transfer to those who view my work.
